About KidsGain

KidsGain provides parental tools for missions, rewards, screen-time routines, device controls, and family insights. This notice covers the KidsGain website and mobile apps. For privacy questions, contact [email protected].

Website and enquiries

The marketing website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or external fonts. Its interactive mission example runs locally in your browser. If you submit an enquiry, we process your name, email address, optional company, enquiry type, message and consent to respond. The enquiry is emailed through Brevo to our investor team; the contact service does not store submissions in a database or write message contents to its logs. It temporarily holds client IP information in memory to limit abuse. Hosting and email providers may process connection information as part of providing their services.

Data we process

We process parent account and profile details; child profiles created by a parent; missions, rewards, progress and balances; device pairing identifiers; app and screen-time usage; parental-control settings; permission and tamper status; bedtime events; domain requests and blocked attempts where a parent enables Android web filtering; support, security and diagnostic records; and analytics or crash information when enabled.

Why we process it

We use data to provide and secure KidsGain, pair and manage Hero devices, enforce parent-selected controls, calculate progress, synchronize usage, deliver notifications, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and meet legal obligations. Where required, processing relies on contract, legitimate interests, legal obligations, or the parent’s consent. Child data is processed under parent or guardian direction.

Children’s data

Hero accounts are created and controlled by a parent or guardian. KidsGain does not ask a child to create an independent consumer account. Parents can review, correct, export, restrict, or request deletion of their child’s information. We do not use child data for targeted advertising or sell personal information.

Device monitoring

After the on-device monitoring disclosure is accepted, Android sends launchable app names and identifiers, usage duration, and permission status to KidsGain servers for the linked parent. Separate VPN consent allows domain names, request counts, blocked counts and last-request times to be sent for parent reports. Allowed DNS queries are sent to Cloudflare using DNS-over-TLS. No full URLs, page content or typed text are read. Local domain records keep only the current day when the filter records activity and are cleared when the child session is removed. iOS Screen Time frameworks intentionally provide privacy-limited information and KidsGain does not bypass those protections. Exact capabilities depend on device permissions and platform rules.

Service providers

KidsGain uses service providers for hosting, database operations, email, authentication and push notifications. Enabled Android web protection sends allowed DNS queries to Cloudflare over encrypted DNS. The website enquiry service uses Brevo for email delivery. Optional Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics collection is disabled in the current mobile release. The complete provider list and applicable international-transfer arrangements are being finalized before public launch.

Retention

We retain information as needed to provide the requested service, protect accounts, respond to enquiries and satisfy applicable obligations. Specific server telemetry, log, email and backup retention periods are being finalized before public launch. Account deletion removes the live parent account and owned child data; separately retained backups and service-provider copies require their applicable retention/deletion processes.

Your rights

Depending on location, you may request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or withdrawal of consent, and complain to a supervisory authority. A parent may exercise these rights for a Hero profile through the Data Rights page.

Security

We use access controls, encrypted transport, scoped device permissions, authentication controls, and operational monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Contact and changes

Contact [email protected] for privacy questions or use the account-deletion page to request removal of a parent account and its owned Hero profiles. Do not send passwords, login codes or unnecessary child information. Material policy changes will be dated on this page and communicated where required.

Account deletion

Parents can request deletion using our account-deletion form. A confirmation link is sent to the account email and deletion requires explicit confirmation. Remove or unpair device controls first: an offline device may retain cached controls until it reconnects or they are removed on the device.
